We met by the wagon this morning to leave Stormwind en-route to Sentinel Hill. At first impression that Tizgot looks a bit crazy, he was showing us a steam powered inventors stamp and in mid-sentence the top exploded off across the square like a bullet! I like Metrius more, he sees the world through the uncomplicated eyes of a child. I envy his innocence. The drivers think there's a storm coming - if only they realised how right they are. I see the demon's gathering in my dreams, their evil wings beating the air. They will see, they will ALL SEE!

We've been attacked by bandits twice now, they ambush us from the shadows of Elwynn Forest. The others say they carry the mark of the Defias Brotherhood. A storm last night had left a tree fallen over the road, or so we thought. When we stopped the wagon to move it the archers attacked and Dase, Metrius and Wendel went after them. The archers were firing randomly through the canvas sides and it was both of the drivers who were the unlucky ones, catching arrows in the chest and neck. Tanavar was busy trying to keep them alive as Abraxas led me out of the wagon; then suddenly more bandits jumped us from the blind side. Luckily Dace was still near enough to leap on as they started to drive it off and we managed to fight them off.

Sentinel Hill is a plain, martial place. We made our delivery to Gryan Darkmantle and then he mentioned a problem with the Defias brotherhood in the mines nearby. I

immediately saw the connection - evil, coming from underground, just like the Troggs at Gnomeregan! I just know the Burning Legion must be involved. The others don't believe me, but I'm getting used to the naivety of others now. He wants us to find the messages being sent from mine to mine, discover what's going on. They think the Defias may be gathering forces for a major offensive but need some kind of proof. I bet he's not going to like what we find. We set off in the morning.

Gold Crest Quarry. "Gull Kambur Grjótnáma" in Eredun. That's where we are now. Doesn't the name just reek of evil? It looks like there are innocent miners near the surface; we've seen the guards and workers coming out of the dark entrance for food and rest. We spend a day and a night above the valley in which the quarry lies, spying on them, seeing when the guard changes, where they sleep. Now we're ready to step into the darkness.
